Gleann Abhann Covid Policy
Updated 06/02/2022
This policy replaces any previous Covid Policy for the Kingdom and operates on the
principles of Honor and Courtesy which is the foundation of this kingdom.
- All participants of official SCA activities are requested to contact the Kingdom
Seneschal if they test positive within 5 days of attending an official SCA
activity. - People who have tested positive for Covid should not attend official SCA
activities during their isolation period with the dates as defined by the CDC
Quarantine and Isolation Calculator.

a. Current CDC Isolation Guidelines include (but are not limited to) no travel
for 10 days. (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html#do
-not-travel)
This policy is in effect for all in-person SCA functions. Official SCA functions include
events, demos, fighter practices, and meetings as well as any other function defined by
Corpora. This policy is in line with current CDC guidelines regarding activities and
current SCA guidelines. Should either of those guidelines change, this policy will be
updated accordingly.
Any questions should be addressed to the Kingdom Seneschal.

March 24, 2022
In light of the CDC Community Level for our Glorious Kingdom, the Crowns, Heirs, and Kingdom Seneschal are removing the Covid Policy including masking. At this time, only two counties in our Kingdom have a suggested indoor mask requirement from CDC.
Going forward, this information will be continuously reviewed and if the CDC Community levels show a higher risk, then the policy may be reinstated. If that happens, then it will be announced with as much notice as possible for local groups. Please note that federal, state, local, or site policies will take precedence over this decision.
There will still be some members of the populace who need or wish to wear a mask. Please support them and show honor and courtesy to them. If someone is wearing a mask, please ask if they would like you to put on a mask or to be socially distant from them. As such, members of the populace and local groups are encouraged to keep a mask(s) available should they need to interact with someone who feels more comfortable with a mask.
Thus We Remain in Service to the Dream,
James & Joan, King & Queen
Connor & Dinara, Prince and Princess

Variance to Board Resolution of May 25, 2021, Regarding Preregistration Requirements
The Reopening Resolution approved by the SCA Board of Directors at their May 25, 2021 conference call meeting required preregistration for all SCA functions. As attendance caps will no longer be required, and the need to collect attendee information for contact tracing, while still present, is reduced, the Society Seneschal in cooperation with the President has issued an implementation variance to the May 25 Resolution regarding preregistration. The goal is to allow for the efficient operation of Society events while still preserving the ability to provide attendee information to government or health authorities if requested.
Therefore, preregistration for SCA events will no longer be required starting July 1, 2021.
All who attend any SCA sponsored event in North America including local meetings, fighter practices, etc. must be signed in on a roster, at Troll, etc. prior to entering the event. This can be a roster sign-up sheet for small events, but along with a legal name the attendee must provide some method of contact. That can be email, phone number, or street address. Kingdoms may add additional requirements for events as they choose, but in all cases, there should be a complete list of those who are at any SCA event. Such event/meeting rosters should be kept by the local Seneschal or in the manner prescribed by the Kingdoms for such information. Such information will be held pending further instructions by the Society Seneschal or President.
Kingdoms and groups may continue to require preregistration for certain functions at their discretion.
