Great Officers of Gleann Abhann
No organization can survive without leadership, and the Officers of Gleann Abhann are who provide that leadership. In support of the Crown, these volunteers oversee their department, submitting reports to their Society-level upline officers, reading and responding to reports from Regional and Local officers, and managing warranting, training, and on-boarding of volunteers around the Kingdom.
Seneschal
The facilitator of policy and procedure from local level to corporate activity.
Exchequer
Person in charge of financial reporting and handling of funds.
Chatelaine
Assists newcomers in their efforts to find a place within the SCA.
College of Heralds
Organization of heralds and scribes who serve the Crown and populace of Gleann Abhann.
Minister of Arts and Sciences
Responsible for encouraging the growth of the Arts and Sciences within the Kingdom
Open Officer Postions
It takes a village of volunteers to run a kingdom!
Officer positions typically last 2 years and most prefer to have a deputy to share the work. Before “stepping down”, an officer is expected to find and train a replacement to “step up” into the role.
Earl Marshal
Responsible for overseeing the conduct of all martial arts activities.
Chronicler
Responsible for the design, publishing and distribution of the official monthly newsletter.
Webminister
Responsible for the design and maintenance of the official website.
Historian
Responsible for recording the lives and times of the Kingdom.
Minister of Children
Encourage and promote the education of children ages 5-17 in the ways of the SCA.
